Welcome to Nutrition Challenge 2007! This is a fun, interactive 10 week challenge designed by Registered Dietitians to help you improve your eating and exercise habits with a group of people!!! There will be weekly challenges and games to keep the competition interesting!

This week's challenge will be who can eat the most servings of whole grains. Keep in mind that you have to check the label to make sure the first ingredient says whole _______. It should say whole wheat, whole grain, whole kernel, or something similar to that. If it says enriched flour, then it is not a whole grain. 1 serving of whole grains is the same as 1 serving of carbohydrates. So, if you have 1 cup of whole wheat spaghetti, then that is 3 carbs and 3 whole grains. Post any questions! Good Luck!
OOOOOOOOOHHHH YEEAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! Macho Man Josh Reichert says this challenge is smmmooooooookkkkin', and he's gonna eat them whole grains up like they are m & m's (especially since he hasn't had m & m's in ages). 70 whole grains this week is my challenge to you all. Bring it...because I'll be on ya'll like whole grain on rice. Catch ya'll on the flip side.
Note to Challengers:
If you decide to eat 70 whole grains like Macho Man Josh Reichert, please also increase your water consumption or you may experience some bowel problems. It is important to increase your water when you increase your insoluble fiber intake(the fiber found in whole grains). Good Luck!
